Sparebank1 Nettbank on Ubuntu Lucid (10.04)

In case anyone else is having the same problem as I did with Sparebank1 Nettbank after upgrade to Ubuntu Lucid. Here's how to fix it:

echo "deb http://archive.canonical.com/ubuntu lucid partner" >> /etc/apt/sources.list
sudo apt-get remove icedtea6-plugin
sudo apt-get install sun-java6-plugin

FEnicS in Ubuntu 10.04

Ubuntu 10.04 has just been released and it ships with FEniCS!

sudo apt-get install fenics

cp /usr/share/doc/dolfin-doc/demo/pde/poisson/python/demo.py .
python demo.py

Delar med mig av några highlights från Roccad-festivalen i Vänersborg 2004. Jag hittade ett par gamla klipp när Kryptonight, ett av Sveriges bästa coverband, spelar Final Countdown och Jump. :-)

Google Reader no more

After a year or so of using Google Reader as my primary newsfeed, I've decided to switch to a desktop application: Liferea. Google knows too much already, don't feed the beast.

As a bonus, Liferea has a nicer GUI.

Ready for Ubuntu

We made it in time for the deadline! DOLFIN 0.9.7 is released together with FFC 0.9.2, UFL 0.5.2, UFC 1.4.0, FErari 0.2.0 and FIAT 0.9.1. Soon to be included in the upcoming release of Ubuntu 10.04 (Lucid). Then everyone can just

apt-get install fenics

FFC almost working again

FFC is once again able to compile Poisson's equation (at least tabulate_tensor looks good).
